General eligibility published for international applicants to bachelor's programmes at Xinjiang University: non-Chinese citizen holding an ordinary foreign passport, aged 18-45, high school graduate, in good health and of good conduct. Under the Xinjiang Government Scholarship for Neighbouring Countries route the age limit for bachelor applicants is stricter: no older than 25 with a high school diploma or above. Chinese-taught bachelor's programmes require HSK Level 4 with a score of 180 or above. English-taught programmes require IELTS Academic 6.0 or above, or TOEFL iBT 80 or above. Computer Science and Technology at bachelor level is a Chinese-taught curriculum, so the HSK 4 / 180 threshold is the applicable one. Published for the 2026 intake.

Notarised copy of highest academic certificate; notarised graduation transcript; photocopy of passport information page; white-background passport photo; Physical Examination Form for Foreigners; original and notarised certificate of no criminal record; guardian authorisation if the applicant is under 18; language proficiency certificate. The self-financed brochure additionally requires proof of financial capacity (bank statement). Two recommendation letters and a study plan are required only from master's and doctoral applicants, not from bachelor applicants.

Xinjiang Government Scholarship for Neighbouring Countries route: registration deadline 31 May 2026. These are the 2026 dates; the corresponding 2027-2028 dates had not been published at the time of collection.

Self-financed international bachelor students: CNY 18,000 per year for science and engineering programmes (CNY 15,000 per year for liberal arts). On-campus accommodation is charged separately (single room CNY 900/month, double room CNY 600/month, suite CNY 1,800/month). This is the published 2026 fee schedule for the bachelor majors listed in the brochure; Computer Science and Technology is not among the bachelor majors the brochure lists as open to international students, so this rate is the institution-wide science and engineering rate rather than a programme-specific published price.

Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region People's Government Scholarship for Neighbouring Countries: exemption from registration fees, tuition fees and on-campus accommodation (10 months), comprehensive medical insurance, and a living allowance of RMB 1,000 per month for bachelor students (10 months). The brochure does not enumerate eligible countries. Xinjiang University also references the Chinese Government Scholarship and the International Chinese Language Teachers Scholarship.
