Completed secondary education. UrFU states the prior-education basis for international bachelor applicants as a completed course of secondary education (including colleges and vocational / technical schools). No minimum GPA or attestat average is published.

Профильные предметы

Entrance examination subjects published on the programme page, with minimum scores: History 40 and Russian language 40 (both mandatory), plus one elective chosen from Geography 40, Foreign language (English, German, French, Spanish, Chinese) 40, or Social studies (Обществознание) 45. The programme page publishes these subject minimums without splitting them by applicant route; the international route page separately describes the format as two tests in major subjects plus a mandatory Russian language test.

Russian language at CEFR B1-B2 entry level, assessed by a mandatory Russian language test. A certificate of completion of a Russian language course (from the UrFU Russian Language School or another authorized institution) may be submitted instead of taking the language test. No English-language test (IELTS/TOEFL) is published, as the programme is taught in Russian.

For this programme (41.03.05 International Relations and World Politics), UrFU's international tuition table publishes per year, in Russian Rubles: 507 000 for non-CIS citizens; 468 000 for CIS citizens (397 800 for applicants who earn a particular number of points at entrance exams); 431 000 for graduates of the UrFU Preparatory Department. Kazakhstan is a CIS state, so the CIS column applies to Kazakhstani citizens. No academic year is stated on that table. Separately, the Russian-language programme page publishes 390 000 (331 500 with discount) for citizens of the Russian Federation, which does not apply to Kazakhstani applicants.

Two institution-wide routes are published for international applicants: (1) the Russian Government Scholarship (state-funded quota), which covers tuition fees for the full period of study, a monthly scholarship and on-campus accommodation, applied for via education-in-russia.com through Rossotrudnichestvo offices and Russian embassies; (2) the Open Doors Russian Scholarship Project, giving early admission to a tuition-free undergraduate programme at UrFU, open to foreign citizens, stateless persons and compatriots living abroad. No programme-specific scholarship for International Relations and World Politics was published.
